While a young girl, my grandmother taught me to crochet doilies. She had learned from her mother so the crochet gene has been passed down from generation to generation in our family.
Teaching myself to follow patterns, I began crocheting again as a teenager and haven’t stopped since. I am constantly working on something. As soon as one project is finished, I begin the next.
I learned the basics of Interlocking Crochet at a class presented by James Walters and Sylvia Cosh. For the next 14 years I experimented with this technique – creating new designs and developing unique ways to use it. I’m especially interested in reversible fabric and exploring various techniques to make beautiful, but practical clothing, purses and accessories.
I’m a member of the Crochet Guild of America (CGOA), an award-winning crocheter, an experienced teacher and a bestselling crochet author. I also have a CGOA Master of Advanced Crochet Stitches and Techniques.
